Two more join the group.

Some of the Siberia 2004 group met at the Boat, Caravan and Outdoor Show 2004 held at the NEC Birmingham for a final discussion before departure at the end of March. At this meeting it was agreed that two additional Silkroute Club members would join the group, bringing the total to nine people in six vehicles.

The main topic of discussion was (as ever) visas and where to get them. Most members of the group require visas for Iran, Pakistan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, and Russia. Many of these visas require letters of invitation, China requires that visitors entering the country in their own vehicle are accompanied by a guide. Visas for Iran and Russia were proving the most difficult to obtain.

The group intend to rendezvous for the first time on the trip at Rupa (in Croatia) on 2004-04-02.
